Pasta Pazza Pomodoro Cipolla RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 grams of Pasta Pizza 5 Flavor
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar of Calabria Tomato Sauce with Fried Onions
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

instructions

  • Cook the Pasta Pazza 5 Flavor according to the package instructions until it is al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat some olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for a minute until fragrant.
  • Add the jar of Calabria Tomato Sauce with Fried Onions to the pan and stir to combine. Bring the sauce to a simmer and let it cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the dried basil and red pepper flakes (if using) to the sauce and stir to combine.
  • Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss everything together until the pasta is coated with the sauce.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • To assemble the dish horizontally, place a layer of pasta on a serving dish, followed by a layer of sauce. Continue layering until all the pasta and sauce is used up.
  • Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.
